AEG airsoft guns cannot be silenced by an external suppressor because the loudest sound originates inside the gun in the gearbox from the impact of the piston head hitting the cylinder head.
A suppressor with foam padding on an unsilenced gun is merely decorative, a small bandage on massive noise leakage. Silencing your gun is mainly about dampening these impacts inside, and one key solution is a quality cylinder head impact pad. It is installed on the cylinder head using the included 3M adhesive pad (or you can use high-viscosity super glue like Loctite 422). It absorbs the piston’s impacts, reducing the shooting noise and protecting internal parts from excessive force.
Made from polyurethane, an excellent material for absorbing shocks and vibrations.
