What is the EPeS SorboPad good for?

You can’t silence an airsoft gun with a suppressor alone because the loudest sound in AEG replicas comes from inside—the piston head hitting the cylinder head, plus gear and motor noise. A foam-filled suppressor on a loud replica is just a cosmetic patch. The real silencing happens inside by dampening impacts. One of the most effective tools is the SorboPad (along with proper shimming, correct AoE and motor alignment).
SorboPad works like an impact-damping pad for your piston—think of it as an airbag. It installs directly onto the cylinder head to absorb shock, reducing noise and extending the lifespan of internal components. Made from patented Sorbothane® (USA), a top material for absorbing vibrations and impacts. The piston-facing side is protected by a 1mm PU layer. Best paired with EPeS Mk.II AEG cylinder head without rubber pad.

• 50 D – for springs up to SP110 (SP100 in LMGs, SP120 in DMRs)
• 60 D – for springs up to SP120 (SP110 in LMGs, SP130 in DMRs)
• 70 D – for springs up to SP130 (SP120 in LMGs, SP140 in DMRs)
• For stronger springs, a classic rubber cylinder head pad is recommended.
