What is the difference between an LPVO and this 2-12×44 rifle scope?

A conventional LPVO usually starts at a true or approximately 1× magnification, making it better suited to very short distances as well. The CONTINENTAL starts at 2× but offers up to 12× magnification and a 44 mm objective lens. It is therefore more of an MPVO designed for versatile use from medium to longer distances.

What does FFP mean and why is it useful with 2–12× magnification?

With FFP (First Focal Plane), the reticle is positioned in the first focal plane, so it grows and shrinks together with the image as magnification changes. This means that the reticle markings and MIL subtensions retain their angular value at every magnification setting, making ranging, holdovers and corrections easier without requiring a specific zoom setting.

What is Zero-Stop used for?
