Specna Arms S-MAG M4 Hi-Cap magazine

This expert product description was prepared by the ANAREUS.cz expert team. All rights to this unique content are bound to the anareus.cz domain.Specna Arms S-MAG is a high-capacity Hi-Cap magazine designed primarily for electric airsoft guns based on the M4 / AR15 platform. With a capacity of 380 BBs, it provides a significantly larger ammunition supply than a standard Mid-Cap magazine, making it particularly suitable for longer periods of play, suppressive fire or players who do not want to reload as often. BBs are poured into the magazine through the top loading opening, after which the internal feeding mechanism must be wound using the wheel on the bottom. This is the fundamental difference between a Hi-Cap magazine and a Mid-Cap magazine: the BBs are not held in a single feeding channel under constant pressure from a long spring, but instead remain loose inside the storage compartment and are moved into the feeding channel by a winding mechanism. During firing, the magazine therefore needs to be rewound as required. The S-MAG body is made from durable polymer, keeping the magazine relatively lightweight despite its high capacity. The textured surface improves grip and handling during reloads, even when wearing gloves. The design is intended for M4, M16, MK18 AEGs and other models based on the AR15 platform. However, magazine well and feeding nozzle tolerances may vary slightly between guns from different manufacturers, so completely identical fitment in every existing M4 / AR15 AEG cannot be guaranteed. The S-MAG magazine is the result of an effort to offer a universal, durable and affordable magazine with highly reliable BB feeding, even at extremely high RoF and when using heavier ammunition.

Key features of the Specna Arms S-MAG M4 Hi-Cap magazine

Capacity of 380 BBs

The high-capacity design holds up to 380 airsoft BBs and reduces the need for frequent reloading during games.

Winding mechanism

The classic winding wheel on the bottom tensions the feeding mechanism, which then feeds BBs from the storage compartment into the gun.

Durable polymer body

The polymer construction combines low weight with good durability for regular use during airsoft games.

Textured surface

The pronounced texture on the body provides a more secure grip during reloads and makes the magazine easier to handle even when wearing tactical gloves.

For M4 / AR15 AEGs

The S-MAG is designed for M4 / M16 / MK18 AEGs and other compatible AR15 platforms.

  • BBs are poured freely into the main storage compartment of the Hi-Cap through the top loading opening, after which the feeding mechanism is wound using the wheel on the bottom of the magazine.
  • Forcing BBs into the feeding opening with a speedloader may damage the magazine's internal feeding mechanism.
  • Damage caused by incorrect loading is mechanical damage resulting from use of the product and cannot be considered a manufacturing defect.

Frequently asked questions from our store

How do you load the Specna Arms S-MAG Hi-Cap magazine?

Open the top loading opening and freely pour the BBs into the magazine. Then repeatedly turn the wheel on the bottom of the magazine until the feeding mechanism is sufficiently wound. During firing, the mechanism may need to be wound again.

What is the difference between a Hi-Cap and a Mid-Cap magazine?

A Hi-Cap offers significantly higher capacity and uses a storage compartment with a winding mechanism. A Mid-Cap stores BBs in a spring-loaded feeding channel, does not need to be wound during firing and the BBs do not normally rattle inside when moving. The S-MAG 380 BBs is a Hi-Cap.

Does the S-MAG fit all M4 and AR15 AEGs?

The magazine is designed for standard M4 / AR15 AEG platforms and their variants, such as the M16 or MK18. However, dimensional tolerances of the magazine well and feeding system may vary slightly between manufacturers, so flawless compatibility with every existing model cannot be guaranteed. Based on our testing, however, it is one of the most universal magazines on the market.

Does a Hi-Cap magazine need to be wound during firing?

Yes, as required. The wheel on the bottom tensions the feeding mechanism. A single winding will generally not feed all 380 BBs at once, so during extended firing the magazine needs to be rewound periodically.
