AirsoftParts bronze bushings (8 mm) are precision CNC-machined bushings for AEG gearboxes with 8mm bearing seats. Bronze offers very good sliding properties in contact with steel gear axles, while the relieved contact surfaces help reduce friction. The set contains 6 pieces and is designed for builds with springs up to M140.

AirsoftParts 8 mm bronze bushings are plain bushings manufactured on CNC machines in the Czech Republic and designed for gearboxes with 8mm gear axle bearing holes. Bronze is well suited to this application due to its good sliding properties in contact with steel axles, which, with proper lubrication, helps reduce friction and promotes smooth operation of the gear train. The contact surfaces between the bushings and gears feature reliefs that further reduce the friction surface area. The bushings also have no lubrication groove, which according to the manufacturer could contribute to wear on the gear axles. The manufacturer recommends them primarily for builds with M90–M130 springs, while the technical specifications state M140 as the maximum spring rating.
A bronze bushing combined with a steel axle offers low friction with proper lubrication, promoting smooth gear operation.
Relief in the areas contacting the gears reduces the friction surface area and helps reduce mechanical losses in the gear train.
Unlike ball bearings, the design contains no balls or other moving parts. The gears are guided directly by the sliding surface of the bronze bushings.
The bushings have no lubrication groove that could create an edge acting against the gear axle. This design maintains a continuous sliding surface around the axle.
The manufacturer recommends the bronze bushings primarily for M90–M130 springs, while the technical specifications state a maximum spring rating of M140.
Bronze has very good sliding properties when in contact with a steel axle. With proper lubrication, it can therefore help reduce friction and mechanical losses as the gears rotate.
Bronze bushings have a simple, solid construction without balls. The gear axle rotates directly against the sliding surface of the bushing, so there are no internal moving parts typical of a ball bearing.
AirsoftParts recommends these bushings primarily for builds with M90 to M130 springs. The technical specifications also state M140 as the maximum spring rating.
They are designed for gearboxes with 8mm bearing seats. Before installation, it is advisable to verify the hole diameter and ensure the bushings are seated correctly in the specific gearbox.
